For 70 years, Her Majesty The Queen has faithfully served as our Sovereign.
To honour her lifetime of service, the Australian Government has launched the first of its official tributes for Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee with a nation-wide Planting Trees for The Queen’s Jubilee.
Eligible groups and organisations are invited to hold commemorative events and tree planting activities to mark this significant milestone. The program will form part of an enduring legacy in Her Majesty’s honour that Australians can cherish for decades to come.
The Australian Government is providing up to $15.1 million in funding over three years to eligible groups and organisations for community-based tree planting events. As part of this funding, our community will be eligible for up to 10 projects ranging from $2,500 to $20,000.
To ensure that the best projects are chosen for our area, I have brought together an independent panel of community leaders to consider expressions of interest submitted by local organisations, schools, and councils.
I invite eligible applicants to submit an expression of interest to my office by 18 March 2022 for review by the Cook Jubilee Program Consultation Committee.
Information on eligible activities and entities is available in the grant guidelines at https://business.gov.au/grants-and-programs/planting-trees-for-the-queens-jubilee.
PLEASE NOTE: the dates on the business.gov.au website link is for step 2 in the application process. Please refer to the instructions and relevant dates detailed below.

iii) The week commencing 28 March 2022 all EOI applicants will be notified by email of the Committee’s decision on successful and unsuccessful Expressions of Interest.
