I was delighted to be invited to open the new head office and purpose built manufacturing facility of Modular Walls. Set on a new 500 SQM site in Kurnell, following their recent relocation from the smaller, older 1200 SQM facility in Taren Point.
ModularWalls was established in 2002 with the business based on new technology for lightweight, composite panelling with highly acoustic / noise reducing capabilities.
While the core business has been built on modular acoustic walls and fences for residential and commercial purposes, they have been expanding their core competencies to develop higher tech acoustic solutions which are world-leading. For example, they recently completed a full re-fit of the internal ‘sails’ within the Sydney Opera House (improving the acoustics of Australia’s most iconic building) – proudly offering an acoustic solution that was considerably superior to European and North American technologies.
The business is 100% owned by the 4 members of the executive management team. Proudly Australian, they strive to employ local people, to use Australian based raw suppliers, to employ best practice work & safety methods, and to sell nationally (and globally)! The 4 owners and directors of our business are Nick Holden (Founder & CEO), Jason Cachia (Chairman), Jason Harvey (General Manager) and Michael Derin (CFO).
