Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee Competition *POSTPONED*

*COVID-19 UPDATE* – SPELLING BEE POSTPONED

The present disruption to schools on account of Covid-19 means we have come to the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee.

The results of those entrants who have already completed the Spelling Bee will be retained and used when the competition resumes.

For those students who have entered but not yet taken the Bee, they will be given the chance to do so when it resumes.

We hope to be able to run the Bee in Term 3 this year if the COVID-19 disruption to schools is over.

Closer to that time, we will share information on the amended timings for the running of the Bee.

The Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee is a nationwide competition for students in years 3 to 8 that promotes reading and literacy.

I encourage all students from across Cook to sign up for the Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee, have some fun and improve your literacy skills.

The first Prime Minister’s Spelling Bee gets underway from 9 March 2020, for more information or to register visit the link below.

The Spelling Bee will be hosted by News Corp’s Kids News on the kidsnews.com.au website.
